Amazon

Amazon began selling books in 1994 and is now one of the largest companies on earth. It is a retailer, a film and television studio, and — through AWS — the infrastructure a very large share of the internet actually runs on.

Its own devices are built around Alexa: Echo speakers and screens, Fire TV sticks, Kindle readers and Ring doorbells. They are deliberately inexpensive, because the point is what you do with them afterwards.
