Our Branding

The iVillage Africa identity

The mark, the colours and the rules that hold them together — with everything available to download. Use these files rather than rebuilding anything by hand.

The logo

A compound: walls, one way in, and a house at the centre. It says what the name says — a village is people inside a boundary with somewhere to gather. Built as geometry on a 64-unit grid, so it renders identically on a phone, a shopfront and an embossed box.

Using it

  • Keep clear space on all four sides equal to the width of the blue house.
  • Never smaller than 16 px on screen, or 6 mm in print. Below 20 px, use the small cut.
  • Never stretch, rotate, recolour, outline, or add a shadow.
  • Never retype the wordmark — it is outlined artwork with fixed spacing.

The colours

Near-neutral greys so Apple's product photography sits on them without arguing, and one accent blue that always means the same thing: this is an action.

One rule matters more than the rest

System Blue measures 4.0 to 1 on white. That clears the floor for a fill, and for display type at 24 px and above, which only has to reach 3 to 1 — so the headline on our home page is correct. Body text has to reach 4.5, which it does not: at small sizes blue becomes Link Blue #0066CC. On ink or black, both become #0A84FF.

The typeface

On Apple hardware the site renders in San Francisco, taken from the reader's own system — nothing is downloaded and nothing is redistributed. Everywhere else it falls through to Inter, its closest open analogue. Figures are tabular, so a column of prices lines up.
