DJI was founded in a Hong Kong dormitory in 2006 and now makes roughly seven in ten of the world's civilian drones. It effectively created the category: a flying camera an ordinary person can fly safely on a first attempt.
Its engineering reaches well past drones — handheld gimbals, pocket cameras, action cameras, microphones, and the stabilisation and obstacle-sensing that underpin all of them. Its equipment is used for film and television, surveying, agriculture, construction and search and rescue.
The Mini series weighs under 250 g, which in most places — Ghana included — is the threshold below which a drone does not need to be registered. Worth confirming for your own use before you fly.
