About the Wi-Fi Gas Leak Detector (Not for LPG)

A wall or ceiling alarm that watches for a natural gas, methane or biogas leak. It shows the level on its screen, sounds a siren when gas builds up, and sends an alert to the Smart Life app on your phone; the alarm level can be adjusted in the app. Not for LPG: the seller does not say it detects LPG, the bottled cooking gas most Ghanaian homes use, so it should not be relied on as a cooking-gas alarm.

It lists no safety certification, and it has no battery back-up: it runs on mains USB power only and stops working in a power cut.
