About the Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo's current console plays three ways. Hold it, and the 7.9-inch screen runs at 1080p with HDR10 and a refresh rate up to 120 Hz. Slide it into the dock and it sends up to 4K to the television. Flip out the kickstand, pass a friend one of the Joy-Con 2 controllers, and there is a second player without buying anything.

Both controllers are in the box, with the dock, the grip, the straps, an HDMI cable and the power supply. Storage is 256 GB, and the card slot takes Nintendo Switch games as well as Switch 2 ones. Games are sold separately.

Power in Ghana

  • Nintendo notes that the AC adapter sold in Chile and Peru has different specifications; ours is the US one.

  • A Nintendo Account set to the United States, because the eShop country follows the account and Ghana is not an eShop country
  • Wi-Fi for updates and downloads, or a network cable into the dock's LAN port
  • A Nintendo Switch Online membership for online play, sold separately
  • A microSD Express card to add storage, sold separately; ordinary microSD cards will not hold games
  • A TV with an HDMI input for TV mode; the HDMI cable is in the box
Good to know
  • Nintendo Switch 2 game cards are not region locked, and the console also takes Nintendo Switch game cards.
  • Nintendo eShop cards work only in the country they were sold for, so use US cards with a US account.
  • Your eShop balance does not carry over if you change your Nintendo Account's country later.
  • Nintendo's own limited warranty applies only in the country the console was intended to be sold in.
